Challenge
A Cairo-based construction company required a reliable, recurring supply of imported building materials — including structural steel, ceramic tiles, and sanitary fittings — for a large-scale residential development. Tight delivery windows and complex customs documentation were critical constraints.

ZEE Co. was engaged to manage end-to-end sourcing, international freight, and Egyptian customs clearance.
Execution
ZEE Co. identified and qualified suppliers across China and Turkey, negotiated commercial terms, coordinated pre-shipment inspection, arranged FCL sea freight, and managed full customs clearance through Alexandria port.
Result
All shipments cleared Egyptian customs without delays. Materials delivered to site on schedule across multiple import cycles, enabling the client to maintain construction timelines.
Consumer Goods Sourcing — China
Challenge
An Egyptian retailer needed to source a broad range of consumer products from China — including household goods, kitchenware, and personal care items — at competitive landed costs, with consistent quality and reliable delivery.
ZEE Co. Role
ZEE Co. managed supplier identification, qualification, and the full import cycle from factory to warehouse.
Execution
Factory shortlisting and qualification, sample review and approval, production follow-up, LCL consolidation at Shanghai, sea freight to Alexandria, and full customs clearance and delivery to the client's distribution centre.
Result
Goods delivered to specification within the agreed timeline. Landed cost targets met. The client subsequently engaged ZEE Co. for ongoing quarterly import cycles.
International Manufacturer — Egypt Market Entry
Challenge
A European industrial equipment manufacturer sought to enter the Egyptian market and establish a qualified local distribution channel, while navigating Egyptian import regulations and ACI pre-shipment notification requirements.
ZEE Co. Role
ZEE Co. provided market entry advisory, qualified buyer introductions, and trade representation services.
Execution
Market assessment, identification and vetting of qualified Egyptian distributors, regulatory guidance on import licensing and ACI/CargoX compliance, and facilitation of the initial commercial engagement between manufacturer and distributor.
Result
A distribution agreement was established with a qualified Egyptian partner. The first shipment was cleared through Egyptian customs and delivered to the distributor's warehouse on schedule.
